Amy Jackson Appointed by Missouri Supreme Court to Joint Commission on Women in the Profession

Siro Smith Dickson PC is extremely pleased to announce that Amy Jackson was appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court to the Joint Commission on Women in the Profession. To become a member of the commission, individuals may either submit an application through the Missouri Bar or be appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court. Recently, Amy was nominated to the Court, which voted to approve her selection.

Amy’s appointment is a reflection of her exceptional qualifications, professional integrity, and longstanding commitment to the legal community. With several years of leadership experience through the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater KC, the Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section Council, the Missouri Bar Board of Governors, and the UMKC Law Young Alumni Association, Amy has built a distinguished career marked by leadership and dedication. She has served in various roles within the legal profession, earning the respect of colleagues, clients, and members of the judiciary. Her selection to the commission underscores the high level of confidence others place in her ability to serve with insight and fairness.

The Joint Commission on Women in the Profession was formed July 9, 2013, by Order of the Supreme Court of Missouri and in conjunction with The Missouri Bar. The Commission is comprised of members selected by the Court and the Bar. It is charged with assessing the status of women in the profession, identifying barriers to their advancement, combating bias in the justice system and in the legal profession, and securing full and equal participation of women in the legal profession. The Commission has organized many CLEs and has been a leader on many issues, including leading the charge on ensuring there is a lactation room in every Missouri Courthouse.
